| Records Management Clerk SCOPE The Records Management Clerk will work directly with the embassy/military customer and USF-I military Records Officer to execute DoD Records Management Policy including as outlined in the USF-I J6 records filing, retention and disposition plan. The Records Management Clerk will support requirements of USF-I Historians and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) representatives. The Records Management Clerk will work for and take directions from the immediate supervision of the Records Management Theater Lead, NCOIC, and USF-I Chief of Records (or Records Officer). The Records Management Clerk will need to meet the following qualifications: • Knowledge of management processes involved in the life cycle of records including electronic forms analysis and design; information systems design; reports and directives management; correspondence and mail management; archiving and retrieval systems, both manual and technology-enabled; records schedules and records appraisal. • Knowledge of documentation or library methods and techniques used to process information, historical records, or similar repositories and knowledge of special techniques, methods and devices used in semi and automated information systems. • Knowledge of search and retrieval processes sufficient to identify, locate and provide documentary evidence of subpoenas or audits, Freedom of Information Act requests, and investigations of ethical and professional conduct while complying with statutory, regulatory, legal, and other requirements. • Knowledge of the Armed Forces (Title 10 USC), and the organization and hierarchy of a Joint headquarters staff, Department of Defense, and COCOMs (Title 5 USC.) -- Knowledge of Information Security Policy and Executive Order 12958, "Classified National Security Information," March 25, 2003, necessary to comply with statutory, regulatory, legal and other associated requirements (cont'd below) • Knowledge of the U.S. DoDD 5015.2 (DoD Records Management Program), records management standard policies and procedures. Knowledge of the systems and ability to control the creation, declaration, classification, retention and destruction of classified electronic and non-electronic records, including scanned documents REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Meet overseas medical deployment qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS: • Must have 3 years general and 1 years specialized experience in a Records Management related discipline • Must be technology proficient in leading commercial standards Records Management tools and software technology • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance • Other duties as assigned DESIRED SKILLS: • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor even in difficult situations • Demonstrated self-starter and ability to independently resolve problems • Good understanding of U.S. Military organizations • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain high-quality work on multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 and commercial industry leading Electronic Records Management Application (ERMA) software programs o Meridio (AKA Autonomy) Records Management o Adobe Redaction using Acrobat REQUIRED EDUCATION: • Associate’s degree or equivalent vocational certification in an Information Systems-related discipline • Documented work experience in the Information Management field, preferably within a military environment Pelatron is an Equal Opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor. | |
