Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) Analyst

SCOPE
The USF-I J6 and Chief of Staff Groups are seeking an experienced FOIA/PA Analyst that will support these requirements in Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq:
• Provides information management support to the HQ USCENTCOM Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) office
• Directly responsible to command FOIA Manager for efficient operations of day-to-day administrative processing of FOIA/PA requests.
• Primarily responsible for the administrative management of tasks/functions for the FOIA/PA programs such as case organization, file management, multi-tracking system, and agencies, and the Office of Freedom of Information and Security Review.
• Performs duties as Case Action Officer in Security Review and Mandatory Declassification Review
• Coordinates with Staff Judge Advocate Office (SJA) on requests to ensure consistent applications of exemptions under the FOIA.
• Complies with procedures and guidance from the FOIA Manager and provides assistance and training to the staff as needed. Processes and prepares correspondence submitted by the public, other federal agencies, and the Office of Freedom of Information and Security Review.
• Ensures the privacy, confidentiality, and integrity of USCENTCOM personnel is upheld in accordance with the law and in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• At least 1 year demonstrable experience with FOIA/PA analysis including responding to and management of complex FOIA/PA requests.
• Experience with briefing senior military leadership.
• Meet overseas medical deployment qualifications.
• Secret Clearance or higher is required.
• A bachelor’s degree or 6 years experience in FOIA/PA analysis and support.

DESIRED SKILLS
• Prior experience in a Joint Military Environment or CENTCOM environment is desired.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations
• Ability to maintain high-quality work to manage multiple critical projects
• Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users
• Excellent customer service skills and demeanor
