| IT Manager IT Manager Full time (Rotational Based) Applicants please send your salary Expectations The primary role of the IT Manager is to act as the technical authority for IT in Iraq, project management, procurement, roll-out and maintenance for all CR-owned Local Access Networks. This includes the installation and maintenance of several Local Access Networks within the Office, together with the provision of on-line support to out-lying locations. IT Manager will also carry out other duties, including support to clients in Camp and the accounting and auditing of all IT hardware and software. He/she will also liaise with other organisations to maintain connections to the company VPN and Internet, e.g. Vsat service providers. The IT Manager is responsible for his own devolved budgets and reports directly to the Regional Manager / Senior IT Manager IT Manager would be visiting the regional offices within Iraq when required or travel internationally to attend training or workshops. Provide technical support to IM systems users within Iraq and travelling for business. Domain Administrator level for implementing and troubleshooting server, LAN, creating new user accounts; establish e-mail routing accounts, remote access accounts, deletion/redirection for leavers, and other network resources. Monitor and report resource utilisation. Implement and maintain regional infrastructure development as agreed/budgeted in line with Company business requirements. Implement system backups and recovery procedures to ensure full data retrieval. Ensure compliance with data disposal or retention or legal discovery requirements. Ensure compliance with legal and Company standards. Budget planning, purchasing and asset management. Vsat Management and related Support Iraq Implementation and maintenance of Windows 2003 / 2008 server Implementation and maintenance of shared folders and data back-up Re-organization of CR Local Access Networks in the Iraq as required Local purchase of computer accessories Obtaining quotes for IT hardware/software Implementation and maintenance of firewalls provided by CR London and after specific training as necessary by CR London IT Department On-line telephone/email IT support to remote locations Liaison with CR London IT department Implementation of CR IT policy Technical advice to Management Maintenance of IT software licensing and anti-piracay policy Monitor Vsat connectivity of all the CR Vsat’s in Iraq Day to Day / Rotation tasks Providing regular updates to the Regional Manager, IT Operations Manager UK & Senior IT Manager Recommend and implement actions for the Iraq offices to achieve the company’s Information Management objectives. Maintain a high level of information security, promoting the Company’s Information Security Policies and Procedures. Advice and train users in secure and efficient use of InformationSystems. Report breaches of IT security. Project management of IT-related projects, and assist with ITrelated projects as required. Implement and maintain adequate resources for use in disaster recovery processes. Maintain the Company’s Standard Operating Environment. Monitor software security announcements and implement preventive "patches" in a timely manner. Ensure anti-virus software in particular is updated on a frequent, regular basis. Plan and implement other software upgrades as needed. Respond to unexpected service interruptions, take remedialnaction as required escalate if necessary. Manage external IT support for other regional offices Installation and maintenance of Group-wide information systems (i.e. CRM, Dynamics, Patrol Log,E-mail). Provide technical support to regional CR staff. Local office IT operator functions (tape changing, printer maintenance etc). Advice and train users in secure and efficient use of IT systems. Recommend further investment in or re-deployment of assets as appropriate. Act as "clearinghouse" for IT requests and responses. Prepare OpIns and instruct local CR staff and IT contract support staff and monitor performance and compliance. Produce monthly report of incidents, developments, actions, requests and recommendations. Produce daily report and send it to IT Manager Baghdad Produce Weekly Report and send it to IT Operations Manager London Produce handover notes on each rotation for your B2B Update Inventory and password sheets. 1st year objective: Establish CR networks in Regional office / remote locations Implementation of File / Print Server Implementation of Firewall Deployment of VOIP Phones Deployment of Vsat System Visit each office in Iraq and audit IT equipment, software and services. Analyse audit and report compliance status. Recommend any remedial action. Plan and implement necessary HW/SW/service upgrades in conjunction with Operations Manager (UK)/Network Architect: Analyse DR capability (in relation to IT) for each office and prepare appropriate contingency plans and recommend improvements for budgeting. Design and implement backup regime to provide: Protection against deletion of individual files. Ability to restore/replace failed systems within appropriate timeframe. Compliance with data disposal or retention or legal discovery requirements. Essential Microsoft Windows Sever 2003 & 2008, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 & 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2000/5/7. Active Directory. MS Window XP Professional, Windows 7, MS Office 2003 & Office 2007 Remote Access/VPN General 1st , 2nd and 3rd line IT Support for Windows XP Local Area Networking with MS XP Office Applications TCP/IP, LAN/WAN configuration of VPN connections Break/Fix experience, trouble-shooting and fault-finding. Installation experience is essential Support for PC and Lap-top hardware and software, including trouble-shooting, PC hardware builds and upgrades Network admin, data back-up, Internet, MS Outlook Roll-out and project-management of new LANs Cat 5 cabling skills Preferred Dell hardware and software (server, clients, tape drives) LAN switches Backup Exec software Experience, qualifications and other requirements specific to the role MCP, MCSA, MCITP, MCTS, MCSE Certification Bachelors in Computer Science / Information Technology | |
