| Senior / Executive Research Analyst Title: Senior / Executive Research Analyst Number of positions: Two – one ‘Senior’ and one ‘Executive’ position Reports to: Program Manager, SCMS Based at: US Embassy, Baghdad Clearance required: SECRET Nationality: US Job purpose: He/she will assist in the development of a strategic communication campaign by conducting a program of research studies He/she will attend and minute meetings with military and governmental planners and provide technical support to include strategic planning, research and analysis He/she will assist in the development of Operations Orders (OPORDS); public affairs guidance (PAGs); fragmentary orders (FRAGOs); point papers; analysis and assessment of high profile attacks He/she will provide analysis of themes such as: national loyalty and communal factors; inclusion and exclusion of factions within the GoI and the ISF; capacity building; professionalism and relationship with the GoI; terror and sectarianism related activities; and development in Iraqi civil capactity, economics, politics, finance, and rule of law He/she will work proficiently within an inter-agency framework with minimal feedback and direction from USG He/she will be a member of the STRATCOMM Crisis Action Team (CAT) and produce relevant reports within two hours of CAT formation and then hourly updates He/she will provide support to the STRATCOMM Working Group Skills, experience and competencies: He/she will have extensive experience and thorough knowledge of military public fairs, State Department public affairs and strategic communications principles and planning He/she will have extensive experience of formulating, commissioning and analyzing research findings | |
