Title: Program Manager, SCMS

Number of positions: Two – one position to be designated as ‘Deputy’

Reports to: TBC

Based at: US Embassy, Baghdad

Clearance required: US SECRET

Nationality: US


Job purpose:

He/she will manage a core team of creative thinkers, talented/educated communicators, and skilled professionals for the full range of strategic communication, media relations, communications research, planning, assessments, and public relations services required to meet the USF-I mission.
He/she will identify, plan, develop, execute, monitor, and assess all aspects of strategic communication operations services.
Skills, experience and competencies:

Experience of working with the military
Minimum 10 years experience in public or international affairs
Minimum of 5 years experience managing a medium-sized team (approximately 12 people)
Thorough knowledge and Understanding of Middle Eastern and Iraqi politics, culture and ethnic diversities.
Excellent MS Office skills, especially MS PowerPoint
Arabic language skills are desirable
Government certification in Program Management is desirable
