Hydraulic Modeling Expert SGI is looking for a Hydraulic Modelling Expert for an important assignment in the field of water resources and land use in Iraq. This assignment implies the expert’s long-term presence in the project area (at least a year). Therefore the applicant should be available to spend most of the assigned man-months in Iraq. The applicant’s security will be under SGI’s responsibility. The applicant shall have University degree in engineering, preferably related to water or wastewater, and be specialized in hydrological, hydro-geological and hydraulic modeling. The applicant shall be familiar with the use of mathematical models applied for water resources planning/management. He/she shall have broad experience in numerical modelling gained through projects dealing with integrated water resources management, or optimization of water and sanitation asset operation. The applicant shall be proficient in English language. Knowledge of Arabic will be considered an asset. He/she shall have good interpersonal and written communication skills and full computer proficiency, with particular regard to mathematical modelling software and water monitoring instrumentation.
