| Information Assurance Engineering & Installation Engineer SCOPE The IA E&I Engineer must be familiar with DoD standards - guiding the development of IA policy, requirements, engineering and certification and accreditation. Must be able to translate security policies and requirements into an IA configuration implementation and application requirements. Must be capable of performing network and host vulnerability scans and document results in relation to residual risk identification. RESPONSIBILITIES Must be familiar with network vulnerability scanners (ex. Retina, Harris STAT, ISS, etc.). Must be familiar with patch management software (ex. WSUS, Update Expert, SMS, Hercules, etc). Must have experience with web content filtering (ex. Websense, Blue Coat, etc). Must complete incident handling processes and analyze data from scans. The candidate will implement and enforce security policies across the organization. The position uniquely supports physical security consultation requirements to include site surveys, preassessments of building projects, site surveys, and managing a work queue of project requirements and periodic work reviews. Other duties will include those associated with an IASO or IANE, and strength in either of these will suffice. Strengths in both skill sets are desirable. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with a valid passport and an active SECRET or higher security clearance. ALTERNATE REQUIRED SKILLS - IASO • Must have thorough knowledge of DISA STIGs, DISA Gold Disk, and DoD Regulations regarding Information Assurance • Must complete incident handling processes and analyze data from vulnerability scans • Must possess a strong background in Microsoft System Administration regarding GPO's and Active Directory • Experience with the following products: o HBSS o Retina o QTip o BlueCoat o Windows Resource Kit o GFI Languard • Experience with VB Scripting, SQL Database Management, Cisco ASA appliances are a plus ALTERNATE REQUIRED SKILLS - IANE • Demonstrate a 5-year track record supporting enterprise security environments utilizing firewalls such as the Cisco PIX or ASA and web proxy devices such as the Blue Coat SG. • Three to five years subject matter expertise in switching and routing configuration and troubleshooting along with utilizing network management tools to include system logging and event management. • Experience with Cisco switching and routing equipment. • Professional experience using network troubleshooting tools such as nmap, Cisco Works, and packet sniffers. • Familiar with DoD standards for guiding the development of IA policy, requirements, integration, engineering and certification and accreditation. • Cisco CCNA certified. • BS in an Information Technology or Information Security discipline, or related AS with significant experience. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Possess certifications from the following: CISSP, SANs (either Cisco or Microsoft) • Qualified per DoD Directive 8570.1 • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) • Working experience with DoD Information Assurance polices CENTCOM 25-206 and DoD 8500.1 and 8500.2 guidelines • CISSP, CISA, or MCSE are a plus • Working knowledge of the DITSCAP and SSAA processes DESIRED SKILLS • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Ability to maintain high-quality work to manage multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor REQUIRED EDUCATION A minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical experience is required.
