SCOPE
U.S. Citizenship required - The Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician’s primary responsibilities are to operate, maintain, and repair VTC and audio-visual systems and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Audio/Visual Technician will be required to:
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly maintenance on all audio and video systems under the responsibility of the CIS organization
• Understand and make appropriate changes to the system configurations
• Perform recovery operations for the video controller CPU(s) and the complete video path from source to destination
• Assist the video operators in the SOC in developing the required screen layouts
• Assist the Video Teleconference (VTC) techs to troubleshoot and optimize both the video and audio components of any VTC link
• Monitor and correct the alignment, brightness, color/hue and picture placement of the video equipment
• Reconfigure conference rooms for audio and video conferences and briefings
• Develop solutions for the display of video from satellite receivers or over-the-air TV receivers
• Interface audio gear with HF radio systems
• Provide training for tasks shared with other technicians
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• U.S. citizenship and valid U.S. Passport
• Active SECRET Security Clearance
• High School diploma, or equivalent
• At least 3 years experience working as an A/V technician
• Direct experience with the rear projection LCD display cube system
• Must be willing to travel/deploy extensively, sometimes to hazardous duty areas to include South West Asia (SWA)
• Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications

DESIRED SKILLS
• Direct experience with video processors
• Direct experience with multi-tasker video switchers and video controllers
• Direct experience with ClearCom audio equipment
• Technical training equivalent to a technical Associates degree
• Excellent customer service skills and demeanor
• Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations
• Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects
