| SARSS Operator Candidate should have three (3) years experience in a military logistics environment within the past five (5) years. Must possess working knowledge of Standard Army Retail Supply System (SARSS). Must have a minimum of three years experience with the SARSS-1 system. Must be competent in the use of SARSS and other related distribution systems used at site. Must have a U.S. passport. Must be able to pass a physical exam due to the harsh living and working conditions. Must pass a criminal background and credit check. Extreme danger, stress, physical hardships and possible field living conditions associated with this position. Only those willing to work and live under these conditions should apply. This is a one year assignment. You should expect to work 12 hour days, seven days a week. Working Conditions: Working conditions are in a field office environment, shop or warehouse within a desert camp complex. Ability to function during an extended assignment in a foreign, in-country facility with seasonal temperature extremes. Ability to cope with shared cafeteria, bath and sleeping quarters. Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds for short distances. Must be able to walk, kneel, bend and stoop and have correctable vision. Perform range of duties involved in processing customer requests, documenting transactions, maintaining records and developing reports of transactions within the warehouse facility. Establishes and maintains stock records and other documents. Process customer request for issue via diskette or keypunch input. Perform transaction in and transaction out to SARSS-2 system. Perform keypunch input of receipt documents. Process input from catalog inquiry programs, document modifiers and cancellation request. Perform customer reconciliation monthly. Report hardware and software problems to system administrator. Maintain filing system in accordance with the Standard Army Information Management Systems. Performs daily close out and back up of SARSS-1 files. Ensure compliance with facility quality and safety standards, Standard Army Retail Supply Systems (SARSS), and/or other guidelines compliance. Receive daily work assignments from Warehouse Lead, or other designated lead. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
