Strategic Planning Advisor We are looking for local Iraqi nationals to help strengthen our team. Duties: The Advisor will work with the JALEA Advisor and the HJC Strategic Planning Unit to strengthen their capacity (and other relevant units such as Statistics, and Accounts). Support will be provided to develop the HJC unit’s capacity to use modern strategic planning methodologies such as:  Conducting an organizational scan  Conducting an in-depth SWOT analysis across the HJC taking into account provincial issues  Developing short-term, medium-term and long-term planning that are based on strategic goals and objectives.  Developing the action planning capacity of the HJC to accomplish strategic goals  Developing the capacity of the relevant units at the HJC to develop realistic performance indicators attached to annual and multi-year strategies. Minimum Qualifications:  An advanced degree in public administration or business administration from a recognized Iraqi university or equivalent degree from a recognized university overseas  Five years experience in a management or management support unit within a public sector agency responsible for strategic planning  Experience with strategic planning in courts  Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing strategic planning to implement organizational goals and manage organizational effectiveness.  Experience in developing monitoring and evaluation plans to measure progress against strategic plans.  Experience in costing out strategic plans, or working in teams who develop costed-out strategic plans.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with committees, staff, and advisors in a manner that contributes to team spirit while accomplishing goals.  Proficient with the use of computers (word processing, internet research, email Excel). Preferred Knowledge and Abilities:  Ability to work at times under pressure and within tight deadlines  Fluent in written and spoken Arabic  Experience working with international agencies
