Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Lead

SCOPE
U.S. Citizenship required - Responsible for leading and performing on the team that operates and maintains VTC and A/V suites at numerous US military camps throughout the Iraq Theater of Operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide maintenance and support for Polycom’s Accord MCU 50 and 100 bridges. Must be familiar with Tandberg and Aethra Codec’s, a variety of controllers, Extron Crosspoint Series Switches, video cameras, speaker systems as well as being able to perform / handle COMSEC equipment duties. Must be able to lead employees to schedule and manage VTC sessions. Responsible for troubleshooting all VTC hardware and software issues. Provides weekly tracking and reporting on all projects and bridge activity. Responsible for the overall quality of the service provided and is held accountable to customer support metrics goals set by the Program Manager.
• Overall accountability to the customer for quality and stability of VTCs provided in the Iraq theater of operations, to include integration with conferees at other global locations.
• Assuring Preventive Weekly/Monthly Checks and Services schedules are created and observed by VTC technicians
• Assures technical oversight is provided to the customer.
• The candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive a SECRET security clearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Active SECRET security clearance.
• U.S. citizen with valid U.S. Passport
• Must have at least 8 years managing and maintaining VTCs. Emphasis placed on the following gear:
○ Tandberg Codian MSE 800 MCU
○ Tandberg Codian 4220 MCU
○ Tandberg MPS 200
○ Tandberg Gatekeepers
○ Tandberg Border Controllers
• Demonstrated knowledge of VTC technology and equipment and coordinating VTC type meetings across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated ability to set up and coordinate multiple bridging and computing data or display problems across locations.
• Must have demonstrated capabilities to lead and manage a 7 x 24 customer service organization providing technical and classified services.
• Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications

DESIRED SKILLS
• Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to work autonomously or as a team to resolve problems
• Experience with Microsoft Clustered Servers to include Exchange, DHCP, Print, and File Clusters
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations
• Ability to maintain high-quality work to manage multiple critical projects
• Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users
• Excellent customer service skills and demeanor
