VTC Field Service Technician

SCOPE
U.S. Citizenship required - The VTC Technician will support the existing United States Forces Iraq (USF-I) throughout Iraq. The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining VTC and A/V suites at numerous US military camps throughout the Iraq Theater of Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide maintenance and support for Polycom’s Accord MCU 50 and 100 bridges.
• Familiar with Tandberg and Aethra Codec’s, a variety of controllers, Extron Crosspoint Series Switches, video cameras, speaker systems as well as being able to perform/handle COMSEC equipment duties. Schedule, setup and manage VTC sessions.
• Troubleshooting all VTC hardware and software issues and provides weekly tracking and reporting on all projects and bridge activity.
• Creating Preventive Weekly/Monthly Checks and Services schedules, and providing technical oversight to the customer.
• Identifying required spare parts, perform contractor's procedures for dispatching spare parts/field service personnel, and provide technical assistance to responding field service personnel.

The candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position will require the person to work flexible hours/shifts and possibly provide coverage at a nearby AOR venue. Must perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• U.S. citizenship and valid U.S. Passport
• Active SECRET Security Clearance
• Must have at least 4 years managing and maintaining VTC’s.
• Knowledge of VTC technology and equipment, and aspects of coordinating VTC type meetings across multiple sites. Emphasis placed on the following gear:
○ Tandberg Codian MSE 800 MCU
○ Tandberg Codian 4220 MCU
○ Tandberg MPS 200
○ Tandberg Gatekeepers
○ Tandberg Border Controllers
• Demonstrated ability to set up and coordinate multiple bridging and computing data or display problems across locations.
• Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION
An Associate’s degree can substitute for 4 years of relevant technical experience.
