Technical Control Facility Supervisor

SCOPE
U.S. Citizenship required - The Transmission Supervisor provides a wide range of sophisticated system engineering, intelligence, information technology and program management solutions, primarily to the Department of Defense and various intelligence agencies. Controls the operation and patching of transmission communications media (including satellite) and local circuits. Manages transmission equipment, use of cryptographic equipment to including shifts and adjustments on all equipment. Ensures reliable communications through familiarity with all possible combinations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Technical Control Supervisor is responsible for
• Perform training
• The management, operation, and maintenance of all transmission equipment.
• Coordinate with support agencies, to conduct fault isolation and dispatch technicians when necessary to the customer location to troubleshoot, validate, document, isolate and correct faults, and verify service restoration with the customer.
• Perform actions to install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and reconfigure links, trunks, and circuits in accordance with DISA standards.
• Provide support for equipment installation and test new or modified circuits.
• Prepare and maintain Circuit History Folders for all links, trunks, and circuits maintained by the TCF.
• Process requests and validate requirements for services submitted by any user via CJ6 requirements Request for Services (RFS’s), Telecommunications Service Request (TSR’s), and Telecommunication Service Order (TSO’s).
• Act as the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) site coordinator.
• Use the Facility Circuit Information Tracking (FACIT) tool to maintain information on all transmission circuits.
• Perform cable fabrication to include RS530 and RS449, and be familiar with the standard color code for Telecom cables.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• U.S. citizen with valid U.S. passport
• Active SECRET security clearance
• At least 10 years experience with transmission communication equipment.
• Must be able to install and troubleshoot physical links, trunks, and transmission circuits to include:
o Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR)
o Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR)
o Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN)
o Digital Switch Network (DSN)
o Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS)
o Releasable Internet Protocol Router Network (RIPR)
o White House Communications Agency (WHCA) circuits
• Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications
