| System Administrator Lead SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The System Administrator Lead primary responsibilities include technical oversight of the system administration shop, ensuring all operational servers are properly installed, secured and maintained with the latest driver updates and security patches. Duties also include continual development and reporting, automation of any manual processes and daily application and server support for all production systems. RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide technical oversight and direction to the O&M Systems Section. • Direct interface and reporting to site Core Services Manager as required. • Train, mentor, evaluate, and lead technical employees • Maintain the stability of all W2K3 active directory servers, W2K3 exchange servers, application servers, core systems support, Systems Disaster recovery plans, and Backups on all System hardware • Provide onsite support to internal and external clients • Implement project plans • Continual Development and Reporting with Reporting Tools • Keep all servers up to date with latest security and driver patches • Recommend new hardware for infrastructure upgrades • Continual automation of daily tasks through scripting and other tools • Troubleshoot systems that are not operational, determine source of problem and resolve • Work with systems technical staff and private vendors to resolve technical problems • Upgrade software and hardware on servers • Coordinate with systems technical staff throughout the company to ensure proper evaluation of problems and development of suitable resolutions • Coordinate system maintenance plans • Ensure backup and disaster recovery plans are implemented • Maintain technical support documentation • Provide systems support to Database administration, Web administration and Network administration teams • Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Active Secret clearance or higher • Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience • MCSE 2003 Certified • Expert knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, Exchange 2003 and Windows XP • Advanced knowledge of systems security • Knowledge of VB Script, Perl and shell scripting • Advanced technical troubleshooting experience • Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED SKILLS • On Hands experience with EMC Clariion SAN products • Experience with Brocade Fabric Switches • Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems • Experience working with DOD networks, related systems and applications • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Ability to maintain high quality work managing multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor • Experience in VMWare ESX server 3i and later | |
