| System Administrator SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The System Administrator primary responsibilities include ensuring that all production servers are properly installed, secured and maintained with the latest driver updates and security patches. Duties also include automation of any manual processes and daily application and server support for all production systems as well as configuring all aspects of Active Directory Site OU and associated child objects. RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitor and maintain servers running Windows Server 2003 OS. • Configure server applications to meet the needs of customers including DHCP, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, print servers, patch management, SAN management, VMware, TACACS, DFS, Antivirus, Certificate Services, MSSQL, BackupExec. • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies for all site servers. • Provide onsite technical support to internal and external clients. • Implement project plans. • Continual Development and Reporting with Microsoft and Dell Reporting Tools • Keep all servers up to date with latest application security and hardware driver patches. • Recommend and obtain pricing for hardware for infrastructure upgrades. • Continual automation of daily tasks through scripting and other provided tools. • Troubleshoot systems that are not operational, determine source of problem and resolve with minimum downtime. • Work with systems technical staff and private vendors to resolve technical problems. • Upgrade software and hardware on servers. • Coordinate with systems technical staff throughout the company to ensure proper evaluation of problems and development of suitable resolutions. • Coordinate and document periodic system maintenance. • Maintain technical support documentation. • Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Active Secret clearance. • Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience. • Three years of directly related work experience. • MCSA 2003 Certified. • Expert knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Exchange 2003 and Windows XP. • Advanced knowledge of group policies. • Advanced knowledge of systems security. • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking. • Knowledge of VBScript and Windows Shell scripting. • Advanced troubleshooting experience. • Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications. DESIRED SKILLS • Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to work autonomously or as a team to resolve problems. • MCSE 2003 Certified. • Experience with Microsoft Clustered Servers to include Exchange, DHCP, Print, and File Clusters. • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines. • Ability to maintain a professional, poised and courteous manner in difficult situations. • Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects. • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment. • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users. • Basic knowledge of Voice over IP technology (VoIP) | |
