SQL Database Administrator SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The SQL Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting USF-I application databases, to include MS SharePoint 2007, MS Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Task Management Tool (TMT), MS Office Communications Server (MOCS), and all third party applications and collaborative tools. The candidate will design, implement and maintain the most complex databases. JOB DESCRIPTION Provides database support for USF-I web-based and enterprise network collaborative infrastructure consisting of SharePoint, TMT, OCS, and CRM and other third party applications. Creates schemas and sub-schemas, in consultation with application development personnel, to implement database design. Works closely with end-users and technical personnel to ensure that technical solutions meet USF-I objectives. Develops and administers transaction logging, back-up, and security features. Analyzes and changes performance of database as necessary. Maintains database dictionaries, documentation, requirements and guidelines. Assists management in defining database software upgrade strategy. Responsible for set-up, maintenance and monitoring of database servers. Determines impact of new workload on databases. Performs trend analysis on resource utilization. Responsible for the administration of existing enterprise databases and the analysis, design, and creation of new databases. Will also perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 5 + years experience in database management and/or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge • Experience with Microsoft Analysis and Reporting Services • Strong Windows Server OS skill set • MySQL experience • SQL Server 2005 Database Management Systems (DBMS) • Database modeling tools • Database development tools • Conversion of Access to SQL databases • Experience supporting or developing web applications in a Windows/IIS/MSSQL environment. • Must possess at a minimum an active SECRET clearance or higher, meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to a government security investigation. • Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED SKILLS • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor even in difficult situations • Demonstrated leadership and management qualifications • Demonstrated self-starter and ability to independently resolve problems • Good understanding of U.S. Military organizations • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain high quality work on multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Associate's degree or equivalent in an Information Systems-related discipline. • Documented work experience in the Information Management field, preferably within a military environment.
