| SharePoint Administrator/Google Appliance Engineer SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - Maintenance and support of SharePoint Team Services applications to include SharePoint and Google search appliances and all third-party applications and collaborative tools. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Manages multiple servers, workstations and network appliances, ensuring proper integration of these components within the existing infrastructure while further ensuring that each server maintains 100% up-time • Implements system security policy, host and client access, file permissions, and user accounts • On-site development lead for an integrated solution of MS SharePoint Office Server (MOSS) 2007, SQL Server 2005, and Google Search Appliances • Rapid development of new capability • Customizes MOSS portal • Develops new capabilities within MOSS portal • Develops/deploys new webparts for MOSS 2007 • Works with user community to define requirements for new capabilities and then implementing the solution • Develops new capabilities utilizing Google Search appliances • Researches, evaluates, installs, configures, and troubleshoots all hardware, peripherals and equipment necessary to meet integrated systems objectives • Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems • Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems • Performs software installation, maintenance and upgrading • Performs routine network administration and maintenance • Performs servers and systems data back-up and recovery • Provides training on system functionality • Troubleshoots problems with networks, web services, and overall aspects of custom SharePoint, .NET, and C# solutions • Maintains a broad knowledge of operating systems, programming languages and hardware. • Monitors system logs and activity on all servers and devices • Provides helpdesk support as required; resolves operations, network and user-based problems • Ensures that all customer requests are logged and updates calls utilizing the designated call handling and tracking system (Remedy) • Ensures follow-ups with customers providing call or service request status changes (e.g. will be delayed) • Ensures customer satisfaction by responding to Service Requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner • Researches, evaluates, recommends, and implements on-line knowledge based applications for faster response to problems • Coordinates referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for respective services, repairs, training and follow-up. • Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Must have 5 years general and 3 years specialized experience in SharePoint development. 3 years general and 3 years specialized experience in Google Search appliances • MCSE Required/MCSD Desired • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance • Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED SKILLS: • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor even in difficult situations • Demonstrated leadership and management qualifications • Demonstrated self-starter and ability to independently resolve problems • Good understanding of U.S. Military organizations • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain high quality work on multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 products to include Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007, Google Appliances and search engine tools • Strong knowledge of Google Search appliance integration, Google OneBox development, Google Search Engine tools and MySQL Database integration. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: • Associates degree or equivalent in an information systems related discipline • Documented work experience in the information management field, preferably within a military environment. | |
