| Senior Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The Senior IASO must be able to perform all IASO tasks and ensure that less senior IASOs receive the appropriate guidance by contact and example to achieve theater wide IA security standards. The candidate will implement and enforce security policies across the organization. • Must be familiar with the DoD standards - guiding the development of IA policy, requirements, engineering and certification and accreditation • Able to translate security policies and requirements into an IA configuration implementation and application requirements • Capable of performing network and host vulnerability scans and document results in relation to residual risk identification • Must be familiar with network vulnerability scanners (ex. Retina, Harris STAT, ISS, etc.) • Must be familiar with patch management software (ex. WSUS, Update Expert, SMS, Hercules, etc) • Must have experience with web content filtering (ex. Websense, Blue Coat, etc) • Must complete incident handling processes and analyze data from scans • Will be responsible for securing UNIX and Microsoft operating systems as needed Subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. It is critical to have in-depth knowledge of the listed skill sets. The IASO is responsible for training personnel in their area on the skill sets listed above. May be asked to work with these applications independently at remote sites. This is an extremely dynamic environment and the customer has high expectations for our IA Professionals throughout the MNF-I AOR. Will also perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Must be able to obtain a US SECRET security clearance and be a US citizen with valid U.S. Passport • Must have at least 8 years experience • Must have experience with patch management software • Must have experience with web content filtering • Must complete and check for accuracy incident handling processes and analyze data from scans • Must hold certification as an Information System Auditor (CISA) • Possess certifications from the following: CISSP, SANs, Cisco or Microsoft • Meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED SKILLS • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS A minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical experience is required. | |
