SCOPE
U.S. Citizenship required - The Network Administrator’s primary responsibilities include the operation and maintenance ensuring that all production network equipment is properly installed, configured, secured and maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct operational responsibility to:
• Design, install, and maintain network configurations for Cisco 3700, 4000, and 6500 series switches.
• Demonstrate knowledge of device security, software upgrade, integration optimization, and configuration management.
• Work with remote teams of routing and switching experts to design, install, and maintain network configurations for layer 3 routing devices such as Cisco 2800, 3800, and 7000 series routers.
• Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot Layer 3 LAN routing, Layer 2 VLAN switching, and Physical Layer connectivity.
• Design, install, maintain and troubleshoot LAN routing, including RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, and GRE routing protocols.
• Functional knowledge of PIM, IGMP, CGMP, and other multicast technologies.
• Functional knowledge of IPSec and ISAKMP.
• Design, install, maintain and troubleshoot LAN switching to include CDP, VTP, STP, 802.1p QoS, 802.1q, Power over Ethernet, and Switchport Aggregation (LACP/PAgP). Operational knowledge of HSRP, GLBP, and VRRP redundancy protocols.
• Technical proficiency with CAT5, CAT6, and multimode and single mode fiber optic cabling.
• Perform Tier 1 troubleshooting of bulk-level and circuit level encryption devices (I.E. KG-175 TACLANE)
• Effective use of network management tools, to include Cisco ACS, CiscoWorks, and SolarWinds Software Suite.
• Proficiency in Cisco and Avaya Voice over IP. Familiar with telephone administration functions of Cisco Call Manager.
• Operational understanding of network integration with Windows Active Directory Domain Services, including Sharepoint, Exchange, DHCP, DNS, and 802.1X EAP-TLS.
• Coordinate with other organizations and team members to repair and improve the physical and logical LAN infrastructure.
• Document network configurations and diagrams.
• Detailed understanding of the function of SIPR and NIPR networks. Familiar with CENTRIXS networks.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid U.S. Passport
• Active SECRET Security Clearance - Applicant must hold or be eligible for a US Secret security clearance (Active Clearance preferred)
• CCNA certification
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio required
• Ability to travel extensively to hazardous duty areas overseas
• Will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Desired Qualifications:
• Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
• CCNP, CCDP, or Advanced CCNA Certification desired
• MCP Microsoft Certified Professional
• Advanced technical troubleshooting experience
