SCOPE
U.S. Citizenship required - The Logistician’s primary responsibilities include the logistics management, operations, and inventory control of U.S. government equipment to include storage, issue, accountability and preservation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct operational responsibility to:
• Coordinate logistical activities with various military and civilian organizations to ensure proper adherence to shipping and receiving policies/regulations
• Coordinate shipments to/from the International Zone, including coordination with transportation offices, documentation, packing, loading and shipping
• Manage material receipt, unloading, inspection, storage and documentation
• Coordinate accountability of all equipment under MNSTC-I J 6 purview
• Manage property accountability and hand receipts
• Participate in the receipt and issuance of equipment to J6 and outside organizations
• Conduct periodic audits of hand receipts
• Ensure the Logistics database is kept up to date and accurate
• Coordinate work, service and transportation requests
• Organize logistics operations according to schedules set by the planning department and clients’ needs;
• Ensure all logistics records and documentation is current and accurate
• Determine supply requirements for ASL, PLL and Bench Stock items and initiate re-order process for appropriate items
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid U.S. Passport
• Active SECRET Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent (4 years directly related experience may substitute for degree).
• 3 years experience working as a logistician or in military operations
• Ability to travel extensively to hazardous duty areas overseas
• Applicant must hold or be eligible for a US Secret security clearance (Active Clearance preferred)
• Will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Three years experience working with the military logistics regulations and systems
• Strong working knowledge in the use of Excel and MS Access database applications
• Excellent customer service skills and demeanor
• Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations
• Ability to maintain high quality work while working on multiple projects
• Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users
• IT background
