| Phoenix Base Lead Network Administrator SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The Network Lead’s primary responsibilities include technical oversight of the network section, the operation and maintenance and ensuring that all production network equipment is properly installed, configured, secured and maintained in support of the USF-I enterprise network. RESPONSIBILITIES Direct operational responsibility to: • Provide technical oversight and direction to the Network Operations and Maintenance Section. • Direct interface and reporting to site Phoenix Base Manager as required. • Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot network configurations for Cisco 3700, 4000, and 6500 series switches. Specific experience with Cisco Stackwise technology and redundant supervisor engines in blade-chassis switches. • Technical proficiency with network security, IOS software, and topology optimization. • Work with remote teams of routing and switching experts to design, install, and maintain network configurations for Layer 3 routing devices including Cisco 2800, 3800, and 7000 series routers. • Design, install, maintain and troubleshoot LAN routing, including Multiple-Area OSPF, EIGRP, GRE, Static Routing, and Route Redistribution. • Design, configure, and maintain PIM and IGMP Multicast Groups. Design, configure, and maintain IPSec VPNs. • Design, install, maintain and troubleshoot LAN switching to include CDP, VTP, 802.1d and 802.1w STP, 802.1p QoS, 802.1q, 802.3af, and 802.3ad LACP and PAgP Etherchannel. Operational knowledge of HSRP, GLBP, and VRRP redundancy protocols. • Maintain and troubleshoot Physical Layer connectivity including Ethernet cabling, multimode and singlemode fiber, Microwave radios, E1, T1, and Serial interfaces. • Perform Tier 1 troubleshooting of bulk-level and circuit level encryption devices (I.E. KG-175 TACLANE) • Effective use of network management tools, to include Cisco ACS, CiscoWorks, and Solarwinds Software Suite. • Configuration of Microsoft IAS RADIUS, TACACS, SNMP, and Cisco SDM. • Proficiency in Cisco and Avaya IP telephony. Familiar with user, telephone, route-plan, hunt-group, and pickup group configurations using Cisco Call Manager. • Technical understanding of network integration with Windows Active Directory Domain Services, including Sharepoint, Exchange, DHCP, DNS, and 802.1X EAP-TLS. • Coordinate with other organizations and team members to repair and improve the physical and logical LAN infrastructure. • Maintain network documentation, to include topology diagrams, capacity planning, and configuration management. • Detailed understanding of the function of SIPR and NIPR networks. Familiar with CENTRIXS networks. • Apply best-practice industry and organizational standards to improve and refine the overall network infrastructure. • Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • CCNA and/or CCDA • Extensive IT background • Four-year technical degree (Six years directly related experience may substitute for degree). • Advanced technical troubleshooting experience • Provides daily supervision and direction to network administration staff. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio required • Ability to travel extensively to hazardous duty areas overseas • Must be a U.S. citizen. • Applicant must hold or be eligible for a US Secret security clearance (Active Clearance preferred) • Will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information • Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • CCNP, CCDP, CCIP or CCIE • Microsoft Certification • Multi-vendor and vendor-neutral I/T certifications desired, but not required • Video over IP experience • Multiplexing and Trunk Encryption experience • Configuration Management experience • Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Ability to maintain high-quality work while managing multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of network users • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor • Previous work in a multi-national environment Pelatron is an Equal Opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor. | |
