| Network Engineer SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Division is seeking a Network Engineer to support classified networks for the military throughout Iraq. The position will be located at Camp Victory – Baghdad, Iraq. The Network Engineer duties will consist of day-to-day operations, maintenance, monitor, upgrade and problem determination and resolution of the theater classified and unclassified WAN. RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with teams of routing and switching experts maintaining and repairing all layer 3 routing devices • Maintain and repair layer 3 routing, physical layer and fiber optic architectures • Routing Protocol knowledge to include OSPF, EIGRP, and ISIS • Perform troubleshooting of Cisco devices, Cisco-based VPN, and network encryption • Perform troubleshooting of KG-175 TACLANE network encryption devices • Perform troubleshooting Cisco ACS, Cisco Works, Solar Winds network monitoring suite including Solar Winds engineer's edition and all associated toolsets • Demonstrate technical proficiency with Microsoft troubleshooting tools such as PING, NETSTAT, NBTSTAT, TRACEROUTE, IPCONFIG and ARP. • Coordinate with other contractors to repair and make improvements to both the physical and logical WAN infrastructure. • Document network configurations and diagrams. • Basic understanding of the function of SIPR and NIPR net • Monitoring of the NIPR and SIPR net using WAN monitoring tool • WAN reporting using monitoring toolsets • Other duties as assigned Person must have knowledge in Routing, Configuration, Troubleshooting and Support of mid to large sized network environments. Experience working with BGP, EIGRP & ISIS is a must. The candidate must be flexible and creative in adapting to environments where functional and operational objectives evolve and change rapidly. This is a very fast-paced environment. The candidate will work under the immediate supervision of a military shift leader or other contract personnel designated by the PM. The candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Valid U.S. Passport • Interim SECRET clearance or higher required • Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience • CCNA or CCNP Certification Required • Technical troubleshooting experience • Meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED SKILLS • CCNP, SATCOM, E1, LOS, Tropo, PIX Firewalls, Cisco IDS, GRE, ACLs, MPLS, VoIP, SNMP • Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines and set deadlines • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of network users • Contributes to overall effectiveness as a team member • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor | |
