| Senior Data Network Engineer (Lead) SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Division is seeking an experienced Senior Data Network Engineer (Lead) to supervise and manage the Enterprise theatre WAN and Enterprise network teams and assist the CJ6 in planning and coordinating Enterprise-wide projects and initiatives for unclassified and classified networks throughout Iraq. The Network Operations Lead will be responsible for coordinating Enterprise wide engineering of Tier 1 WAN, Enterprise Core switching resources, voice and transmission operations, and daily team work assignments. The position also includes maintenance, upgrade and problem determination and resolution of the theater classified and unclassified WANs. The position is located at Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq. RESPONSIBILITIES The person will be required to lead numerous projects and activities that will include: design, configuration, installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of multiple classified and unclassified networks. The position requires a SENIOR level understanding / experience with ISP level BGP, BGP Policy-based routing, Quality of Service (QoS), IGMP Multicasting, VPN’s, ACL’s, MPLS, IP, VoIP, Switching, SNMP, H.323, NAT, ICMP, OSPF, EIGRP, and other complex routing architectures and technologies. The person will be required to generate weekly action reports (WAR) to a military team lead and his deputy, track weekly task completions, and validate work project and task completion status. Person MUST have Enterprise-level network (WAN) engineering: Routing, design, configuration, traffic shaping through the use of policy based routing or route-maps, troubleshooting and support of mid to large sized network environments. Daily activities also require a solid understanding of network operations, network management applications, switching technologies - including VLAN’s, trunking, PVST, 802.1w, 802.1x, etc. Experience working with and managing multiple engineers and projects is a must. Candidate needs to be skilled at interpreting customer requirements, negotiating project scope, coordinating technical resources, defining work metrics, developing project plans and turning them into solutions (functional requirements) and must be able to show where they have delivered hands-on proactive resolution of issues in a timely fashion. They must be flexible and creative in adapting to environments where functional and operational objectives evolve and change rapidly. This is a very fast-paced environment. The candidate should have an experienced project management history using time-lines, Gantt charts and preparing Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio presentations. The candidate will work with the immediate military shift leader or other contract personnel. The candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The Network Operations Lead will be responsible for other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Must hold a US TOP SECRET security clearance • Valid U.S. Passport • Must have a minimum of 8 years experience with DoD networks • 6 years minimum WAN/LAN troubleshooting and related equipment to include the use of sniffers, network monitoring tools, etc. • Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications DESIRED SKILLS • CCIE, DS1, DS3, PIX Firewalls, Cisco IDS, VPN (IPSEC tunnels), GRE, ACL’s, MPLS, VoIP, H.323, SIP, SNMP, OSPF • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Ability to maintain high-quality work to manage multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor REQUIRED EDUCATION A minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or at least 12 years of related technical experience is required.
