SCOPE
U.S. Citizenship required - The Joint Operations Center (JOC) Manager’s primary responsibilities include providing command and control capabilities to the customer. The JOC Manager will work within a highly demanding environment while providing critical communications, administrative services, perform desktop support in a helpdesk environment and operational services to high ranking military and civilian leadership Individual will work in direct coordination with SOC Watch Officers and Battle Majors in order to provide a complete operational picture of the Area of Operations for the Commanding General and the Chief of Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct operational responsibility to:
• The individual must be capable of working and supervising personnel within a highly demanding work environment while providing critical communications services to high ranking military and civilian leadership.
• Incumbent will oversee operation of DISN networks (SIPR, NIPR, CENTRIXS-M, DRSN and DSN) and software.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of SIPR, NIPR, and CENTRIXS-M workstations as well as associated VoIP technology
• Individual will provide command and control capabilities to the SOC.
• Incumbent will lead a team of technicians in direct coordination with SOC Watch Officers and Battle Majors in order to provide a complete operational picture of the Area of Operations for the Commanding General and the Chief of Operations.
• Must be able to install and support the operational C2 software and systems used in the SOC which includes: C2PC, Blue Force Tracker, Joint Battlespace Viewer (JBV), FalconView, Joint Army Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), vBrick, Information Workspace (IWS), COIC and mIRC Chat.
• Individual will utilize C2 applications to provide situational awareness and track all critical incidents against coalition forces, civilians and infrastructure assets. Individual should be familiar with the use of data mining tools such as WebTAS and CIDNE to query operational databases for insurgent trends analysis.
• Interviewing and recommending personnel for positions within the SOC to the PM Forward; Scheduling personnel for shift duty; Reporting to the NOC on the status of systems; Administering Microsoft Windows 2003/2007 and Exchange accounts within the Active Directory structure; Administering XP Professional workstations; Administering and managing content on MS Sharepoint Portal;.
• Use data mining tools such as WEBTAS and FusionNet to query operational databases for insurgent trends analysis
• Administer User and Exchange accounts within a 2003 server Active Directory structure
• Provide desktop support and administration of XP professional workstations
• Administer computer peripheral devices
• Establish and troubleshoot server accounts, print cues, public folders, and connectivity with remote sites from the client workstation
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a TACSAT radio system
• Track and maintain a Remedy-based trouble ticket
• Maintain standard operating procedures for continuity throughout the SOC work environment
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid U.S. Passport
• Active SECRET Security Clearance
• Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years experience working within the DoD command and control system with increasing levels of responsibility for managing personnel operating communications systems
• Advanced knowledge of Windows, W2K3, XP
• Advanced technical troubleshooting experience
• One year experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting of military C2 systems such as C2PC, Falconview and/or JADOCS
• One year experience in the application of data mining programs similar to WEBTAS or FusionNet
• Basic experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a military TACSAT radio system
• Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications
