Information Assurance Network Engineer (IANE)

SCOPE
U.S. Citizenship required - The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Programs Group is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Network Engineer (IANE) to support the existing Multi National Forces-Iraq (MNF-I) Headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an IANE, the candidate will be responsible for the implementation and enforcement of DoD and MNF-I security policies throughout the Iraqi Theater of Operations. Responsibilities include 24-hour availability, managing security appliances, identifying potential network security vulnerabilities through discovering potential gaps in security best practices. This position will require the candidate to travel and work at numerous US military camps throughout the Iraqi theater.

The successful candidate will be a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to independently resolve problems, perform effectively in a fast paced environment, maintain high quality work, manage multiple critical projects, perform effectively in a team oriented environment, and communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers. The IANE is responsible for other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a US Citizen able to obtain a valid passport and possess or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance
• Demonstrate a 5-year track record supporting enterprise security environments utilizing firewalls such as Cisco PIX, Symantec Enterprise Firewall, Symantec Velociraptor or Sidewinder
• 4-7 years subject matter expertise in switching and routing configuration and troubleshooting along with utilizing network management tools to include syslogging and event management to identify gaps and potential security vulnerabilities
• Professional experience using Sniffers, Cisco Secure IDS, IIS Real Secure, SNORT, VPN appliances, Cache Engines and Websense and patch management software (ex. WSUS, Update Expert, SMS, Hercules, etc).
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
• Familiar with DoD standards for guiding the development of IA policy, requirements, integration, engineering and certification and accreditation
• Proven ability to perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the network life cycle
• DoD IA Level III certified
• BS in engineering/hard science or demonstrated applicable experience
• Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications


DESIRED SKILLS
• Working experience with DoD Information Assurance polices, such as:
○ CENTCOM 25-206
○ DoD 8500.1
○ DoD 8500.2
• CISSP, CISA, MCSE, and/or CCNA are a plus
• Working knowledge of the DITSCAP and SSAA processes
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations
• Ability to maintain high quality work to manage multiple critical projects
• Ability to perform and participate in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of users
• Excellent customer service skills and demeanor
