| E & I Installer SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The Engineering and Installation (E&I) Installer will be a member of the E&I team specializing in equipment installation and line-of-site microwave transmission systems installations. RESPONSIBILITIES: The E&I Installer will be required to: • Install and test microwave radios, antennas, satellite equipment, fiber optic multiplexers, Promina multiplexers, line drivers, encryption devices, and inverse multiplexers • Document all new installations • Provide drawings and updates to the configuration manager in Visio or AutoCAD format • Build cables for various equipment • Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Valid U.S. Passport • Applicant must hold or be eligible for a US Secret security clearance (Active Clearance preferred) • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience • At least 5 years experience installing and testing microwave radios, antennas, Satellite equipment, fiber optic multiplexers, Promina multiplexers, line drivers, encryption devices, and inverse multiplexers • Must be fit and able to perform heavy lifting, climb towers and other strenuous activities • Expert knowledge of cable building to include RS530 and RS449 standards and be able to follow color codes • Intermediate to advanced understanding of signal flow and the differences between red and black data • Basic knowledge of rack installed equipment and the use of rack units and a sense of doing clean installs that not only work well but look well and professional • Must meet overseas medical deployment qualifications • Basic understanding of power requirements (i.e., amperage, voltage, electrical circuits, etc.) DESIRED SKILLS: • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor • Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations • Ability to maintain high-quality work to manage multiple critical projects • Ability to perform and participate in a team oriented environment • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers | |
