Active Directory Engineer SCOPE U.S. Citizenship required - The Command & Control Systems (C2S) Group is seeking an experienced Active Directory Engineer to work in the network operations center and respond to real-time support requirements at the enterprise level in support of the United States Forces-Iraq (USF-I) Headquarters in Iraq. RESPONSIBILITIES The Active Directory Engineer will help manage necessary system backups and maintain contact with domain system administrators and end users to maximize systems utilization and addresses the entire range of services in the network operating system, specifically Active Directory. The engineer provides Tier 3 level support to all echelons of the enterprise for all Active Directory-related issues. • Designs, plans, implements, and evaluates the implementation of Microsoft Network Operating Systems with Active Directory enabling the C2 functions of the USF-I staff. The engineer provides documentation/project tracking, tactical and strategic input, and management reporting for ongoing and future projects and network planning. • Coordinates with the Enterprise Operations Exchange Engineer to resolve complex issues with the messaging environment and to ensure remedial steps needed to correct Active Directory issues do not have a negative impact on the messaging environment. • Installs and tests Windows systems hardware and software, integrates Windows and related systems, maintains data, software, and hardware security and emergency procedures. • Participates in solution design and implementation for new systems and for deployment of enterprise-level system modifications that affect Active Directory. • Tracks current status of critical systems, domain controllers, bridgehead servers, time services, name resolution services and Active Directory replication. • Evaluates, implements, troubleshoots and administers group policies for the entire enterprise while sometimes directing the work of other contractors. • The engineer is responsible for additional duties as assigned.
