International Resources Group (IRG) is seeking an Accountant (GS 9-10) for a one (1) year assignment in Baghdad, Iraq under a current contract funded by USAID. The Accountant will assist senior staff to ensure the financial integrity of the unity, help to establish and oversee all financial systems and controls for the unit, and oversee processes for voucher examination and all payments, including payroll and cashier operations.

IRG's ability to provide management, economic, and technical advice is further enhanced by the diversity, cross-cultural experience, foreign language skills, and management capabilities of staff based in the Washington, DC headquarters, corporate and representational offices in India, Indonesia, Peru and the Philippines, and 20 project dedicated offices around the world.

Qualifications:

* Sole U.S. Citizenship required and eligibility to qualify for Secret security clearance.
* CPA with at least 5 years of accounting experience required.
* Overseas experience is preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
* Previous experience working with federal sector, especially within USAID or the Department of State, is preferred.
* Preference given for knowledge and work experience in Arab countries, and for Arabic language skills.
