| Engineer Equipment Mechanic (ROWPU) Minimum Requirements : This is a position with a physical rating of heavy. A minimum of two (2) years experience in powered GSE/vehicle maintenance/ROWPU (reverse osmosis water purification unit) repair is required. Experience in diesel-fueled equipment repair is required. Transmission experience desired. Experience in air-conditioning system repair and state vehicle inspection procedures is desired. Military maintenance/defense maintenance contracting experience preferred but not required. Candidate must have thorough knowledge of technical maintenance publications. Extreme danger, stress, physical hardships and possible field living conditions associated with this position. Only those willing to work and live under these conditions should apply. This is a one year assignment. You should expect to work 12 hours days, seven days a week. The annual income potential for this position is $90,000. Job Description : The GSE/ROWPU (reverse osmosis water purification unit) Mechanic is experienced in Ground Support equipment systems troubleshooting and repairs with secondary skill in ROWPU (reverse osmosis water purification unit) repair experience to include troubleshooting and testing of the system. The GSE/ROWPU (reverse osmosis water purification unit) Mechanic is capable of working in his/her specialty and secondary skill with supervision. Perform operator through direct support maintenance on ground support equipment, common and special tools, troubleshooting of systems, sub-systems and associated equipment and applicable publications. Knowledge of generators or like equipment; standard and automatic transmissions, power train, and both 6 and 8 cylinder engines is required. Performs diagnosis and troubleshooting, repair, testing and after repair operation of standard military and commercial ROWPU (reverse osmosis water purification unit) units. Previous experience as Army MOS 63 Juliet is highly desirable. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Ability to read Technical Manuals. Basic knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatic, and or power generation systems. Ability to Work Independently/Strong Sense of Urgency. Excellent Communication Skills (Written And Verbal). Work environment is a shop environment with hazardous equipment, moving MHE, obstacles and high volume activity. The candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds for short distances, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, have full dexterity, and correctable vision. Outside work in hot and cold or wet weather is often required. Work environment often has fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is loud. Protective devices are required to avoid injury. | |
