| Finance Manager (Iraq Program Management Office) Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Four (4) years previous experience in professional accounting work that provides a broad knowledge of areas to include accounting, cash receipts and disbursements (in large amounts), payroll processing (headcounts of 700 or more), budgets, and audits. Progressive and responsible experience in the supervisory aspects of the work to include strong interpersonal skills is essential. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for noted requirements. Such experience must be clearly documented for consideration. U.S. passport required. Must pass a physical exam due to the harsh living and working conditions. Criminal background and drug screen will be conducted. Job Description : This Accounting position may organize, direct, and manage the classification, reporting, and analysis of financial data for the LSI LOGCAP III finance department in Iraq. Position is responsible for managing/coordinating of staff assigned to various functional areas of the finance office. Functional areas may include accounting, budgets, audits, and special projects. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Oversee the preparation, review, correction, recording, processing, balancing, and distribution of financial and related data. Perform personnel supervisory duties i.e., scheduling, allocating, assigning, recommending hires and transfers, discipline and promotions. Verify financial records and accounting data to ensure correct posting, calculating, accuracy, and completeness. Monitor distribution of accounts to insure smooth and efficient flow of payments; relieves subordinate accounting specialists in their absence. Responsible for the oversight of all payroll processing for all sites, all petty cash disbursements and reconciliation and the accuracy of all other in-country transactions. Maintain the finance-related SOPs and works with the CONUS and Corporate finance offices to develop financial policies and procedures in theatre that are consistent with Company policies and procedures. Tasks involve the ability to exert physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of weight. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Working Conditions: Extreme danger, stress, physical hardships and possible field living conditions associated with this position within a desert camp complex. Ability to function during an extended assignment at a foreign, in-country facility exposed to seasonal temperature extremes. Ability to cope with shared cafeteria, bath and sleeping quarters. Must be able to walk, kneel, bend and stoop, and have correctable vision. Only those willing to work and live under these conditions should apply. | |
