Safety / Hazmat Coordinator Minimum Requirements : As a staff member of the Site Management Office, perform general environmental and/or safety support services, investigations and analyses. Establishes fire points, fire evacuation plans, inspect firefighting equipment and hold fire drills together with the Fire Marshall of the post. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three (3) years pervious experience in environmental / safety field or related areas. Good written communication skills. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Power Point. Job Description :  Direct the activities performing analytical and investigative studies related to work related safety and handling of hazardous material. Responsible for issuing safety bulletins to Maintenance and Warehouse personnel.  Provide critical reviews of literature in the fields of on the job safety, and related fields as well as make decisions on the adequacy and merit of ongoing investigations.  Design or select methodology to be used in the analysis of unique or complex data collected from HSE investigations, gathered from literature, and performs or directs analyses as required.  Keeps records of accident reports.  Provide leadership for the development of complex safety programs or processes.  Implements and monitors daily safety briefings and weekly safety training.  Maintain familiarity with the statutory requirements related to the environmental, safety, and/or health regulations (OSHA / Army whichever sets the highest standard.)  Establishes and maintains hazardous communication program.  Provide guidance on HSE related issues for mission critical activities.  Certify compliance with applicable safety / environmental regulations and protocols. If current standard is not equal to OSHA, implement OSHA or Army safety standards.  Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
